The diagram shows the King's Indian Defence, one of the several Indian Defenses.  For an overview of all Indian Defences, see en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indian_Defence. 

Basically you aim to deploy your bishop in a fianchetto (Bg7) and then 0-0. White will attack down the centre, while you create a flank attack on the King Side. Aim to over-extend and exploit whites bold pawn moves.

One thing you can throw into the mix is  Pd5 as the 3rd move. Called the grunfeld I believe and it slows the white delevopement.

Any Kings Indian Defence leads to a closed in game, so keep your knights on the board.
