When introducing chess to friends, I have a hard time trying to figure out what difficulty level to use. How easy should one go on a friend who is just learning. On one hand I don't want to make them feel like I am taking it too easy on them. On the other hand I want to give them a chance to explore and enjoy. At what point to suggest that they made an error, after the game, during the game? I could use some advice. Thanx.

let them have fun first, and if they show more interest, then start them into the studying of chess.
Me: Hi friend. This is Chess. Chess, meet my friend.
Friend: Is this some kind of joke?
Me: No joke. I just wanted you two to meet and see if you got along together.
