Intuition plays a bigger part in blitz games than we may realize. Since we can't calculate so quickly, we rely on experience to guide us in messy positions. In a OTB blitz game, the following position occured out of a King's Gambit:

Even though I lost this game, it illustrates how intuition may be your biggest weapon in a blitz match! Never forget to have confidence and trust your intuition! Good luck!

Looks like White still could've won with 4 Rf3 (the threat being the piquant 5 Rh3+ Bxh3 6 g3 mate).  Black's only defense seems to be the spectacular 4... Qf1+, but White is still probably winning after either 5 Kxf1 Rf8 6 Rxf8 Nxf8 7 g3+ Kh3 8 Nf4+ Kxh2 9 Kf2 with Rh1 mate somewhere in the offing, or 5 Rxf1, since 5... Bxd5 fails to 6 Rf5.

5 Rf4 almost works...too bad there's 5... Qxd5 (drat).
