Reading over this I notice that each of these generalizations are essentially wrong and yet they are certainly the first thing to pop into my head. This should be an interesting test, maybe afterwards you'll tell us what you're doing!
These are the categories and my reasons for choosing the players
A. Best in tactical Positions- Mikhail Tal - in his prime he thrived best in dangerous position where brilliant tactics and sacrifices abound
B. Best in Simple Positions- J.R. Capablanca - ability to almost magically whipped a winning position from seemingly simple or drawish position.
c. Best Killer Instinct- R. J. Fischer no doubt. He is simply is playing to win. And Fischer would win with devastating results : both 6-0 score vs Larsen and Taimanov. Crushing match scores vs. Petrosian and Spassky.
e.Best in Championship Matches- M. Botvinnik - Champiosnhip match is Botvinnik's forte. If Boxing has Muhammad Ali , chess has Mikhail Botvinnik. No other Players wins back the world chess title more than 3 feat! Knowing his opponent weakness, scientific preparation as crucial aspects of the game and unmatched stamina brought Botvinnik success in defending and winning back the world chess titles several times against the best of his generations.
