I've only recently started really playing chess, gambits, forks, tactic training etc. I've been finding that no matter what i do i just can't win with black :( . Did anyone else have this problem while learning gambits etc? could you recommend some good tips to over come this?

When I was new to chess, I hated playing black. You need to learn how to equalize against white's first move advantage and not let them dictate the course of the game.
