    I'd say Magnus Carlsen is capable of defeating Kasparov (given that he is now the highest rated player of all time), so no he's not scared at all.

    Its just the Great Kasparov kind of retired from chess so I wouldn't think the encounter will happen.

    Players don't 'challenge' each other anymore, thats why FIDE took over organising chess so that the World Champion couldn't just pick whoever he wanted to play....There were a lot more interesting feuds and libellous attacks in the press back in the old days though Smile
