Ok so I'm sure everyone knows that when you search Open Seeks a list of players comes up on the screen, the highest rated at the top and the lowest at the bottom with the games specifying you play either white, black or random yes?

Well I've found that everytime I click a random colour game and go to play someone lower rated than me I start off black and when I play someone higher rated than me I'm white. Is this a pure coincidence or is this how the system works?

Well, I just clicked on a random game, and he was in the 1500's and I'm just below 1200, and I was to play black.  So it must be random, and you just get "lucky" I guess.
