Is there a "best" instructional chess video?

I once was advised to get an instructional chess video, I forgot the name, but I was told it was one of the most popular and "best" instructional videos out there.

Can anyone tell me what video this may have been, or are there just a bunch of good ones?

"best chess video"    is a quest for a purely subjective answer and you may find the responses inadequate as those responding don't know your skill level or optimum method of learning....     evaluating the video is purely subjective and up to you.

pandolfini put out a couple on VCR tapes - some years back (roughly 25 years ago) but they are still good for beginners.

you would likely benefit from Susan Polgar's series of DVDs (videos), as she has produced a set that is at least 10 DVDs (you won't need to get the one on 'learn chess in 30 minutes).

I recommend them as they all provide ideas - but you can also get ideas from quiet study, or from working in one of the endgame trainers available - Dvoretsky's,  the Fritz endgame trainer or some other one.

I probably should have said "most copies sold" instead of "best video"

I like Andrew Martin's "Bad Bishop", et. al., series.
