I have been getting more and more addicted to chess and now i believe i have hit a milestone:  I dreamed about a chess game.  Am I playing too much chess? (if there is such a thing as too much chess Tongue out)

I once lost a game otb, went to sleep, and woke up the next morning having thought of the winning zwischenzug that I had missed.  I thought I had a win but it evaporated after some exchanges.  It seems I figured out what happened in my sleep.

It happens.  I mumbled in my sleep that I would not accept a draw.  This was before day 1 of the Illinois High School tournament, so I studied very intently the entire day.

If you do a lot of Chess in one day, I'm sure it'll happen, lol.  During stressful times, like before tournaments, expect it to happen more often.

There is a player that I believe is playing over 1000 games at a time.  He is addicted to chess.  I don't think you are just yet.

I haven't exactly dreamt about Chess (yet..) but you know that half-sleep state we are in sometimes while trying to sleep right? well, I've replayed the moves of a game in my head..thinking what else was the optimum move at that point.. that felt weird..

It's not addiction though. Don't worry, I bet you're in the safe zone for now :)

I only dream about chess when I play a fianchettoed bishop opening, OTB only. I dream about that damned bishop all night long. It's partly why I avoid those openings. It doesn't affect me when my opponent plays them.

Today when I was watching the news they showed a view of the icy, snowy highway with all the vehicles going on it so slowly and for a brief moment my brain started looking at the vehicles as if they were chess pieces.  Funny, kind of like when I used to pull weeds in the garden and after I was done, when I would close my eyes all I could see were weeds.

Actually, ther are no snows in our country and there will never be one.Smile. But this morning i passed by the church and when I knelt down, i noticed the design on the left and right sides of the chair looked like a pawn, about 3 inches taller than the standard. Then as i gazed at the Priest's chair i saw a resemblance of the King. For a few moment i  tought i was  inside a chess board since the tiles were checkered black and marble white.Chess has gotten me.;)

I have a phrase for that:

"If you are too busy to play chess, you are too busy"
