I've had an epiffany!

Turns out it was not so much an epiffany as I thought...so here is another idea :)

Live chess...I d'ont know if the option exists or not, I did not suscribe, but can you make a match that specifies a certain oppening?

I have been dying to try a new line in live chess because its wild and crazy...but every single time I play d4, the response is always d5! Sometimes its Nf6, but after my Nc3, its d5 again...Its really annoying me.

    I had an epiphany too.

I was thinking: "Hmmm...how do thoughts and feelings inter-relate with the actual possible moves of the pieces and accounting for the interactions of all of the pieces from the beginning of a game until the end of a game?"

I didn't know the answer, but I think I am on to something.

A thought or feeling about a chess position either matches the reality of the position or does not match. This must be where successful planning and errors originate. Just thinking out loud here.

All of the pieces will either be used to some degree or not used to some degree during the course of a game. There is the now and the later. Positions transform one move at a time.

    Interesting.

I work in the field of healthcare research, but I've been off work for a couple of days and I need a way to pass the time. Posting on here and on Facebook seems to be doing the trick.

In my spare time, I've taken to philosophizing about chess and not playing  against humans because I do not want to get sucked back into the chess vortex just yet.

Viau_A,  this topic is a good start - you should seek out someone with a preference/interest in studying/playing the Pirc Defense.  Also look for a KID player interested in studying/playing positions with the e5 pawn move for White(although I believe theory would say that is not White's best chance - probably not even a good move for White).

    Have a look at http://www.chess.com/explorer/index.html?id=11371821&ply=13&black=0

It shows lines from master games that have been played from this position

I do have somebody who likes to play this, in online chess....although we never played that line....I don't want to try online, too much time to think and come up with a good move...but in live chess, thats another story!
