It seems to me that new players cannot join tournaments if they haven't complected at least 5 games. Is there any exception to this rule...or am I wrong?

Seriously, though, i think you have to finish your five games first. But don't worry, there are new tournaments starting all the time. If you become a premium member you can even create your own (your favorit opening tourney  ect...)
