Since last time I checked, I'm the 28800 and something best player, but, who's actually #1 here? I'm sorry if this question isn't of the most upmost importance, but yeah, it's good to know these things, some would say. :D

If you click the "view players" tab under the "my online chess" menu you can see a list of all players and sort it by score, name, ect..  Here is a direct link.

Is the WHITE king in checkmate?  Or can the WHITE king take the BLACK rook because the BLACK horse is blocking the WHITE rook getting the BLACK king in check?

This position is most certainly checkmate. It's all over for white. Even a pinned piece can still deliver check and therefore the white king cannot take the black rook in thios position.

The actual reason is because Kxg3 involves the white king moving into check.  AN ILLEGAL MOVE. END OF STORY

Yeah, the white king may take the rook, but he'll still end up dying, ending the game. Although I'm not sure how it relates to the #1 player... Undecided (That'll do for a confused smilie :D)

Oh, hey, Aaron! I haven't seen you in a while! (not) Although, I think we've already come to the conclusion that white is screwed. SPAMing to get your points up, I see. Tut, tut.
