What were the key messages from this interview? One that I picked up on was this:

Don't date if you want to become good at chess.

I felt glad to learn that Kasparov has taken Magnus under his wing. The two of them are my personal favorite chess players. What a team! But who were the other two people in the interview?

The comment regarding dating and being good at Chess was a joke, not intended to be taken seriously. Cool  These are two of my favourite Chess players as well, inspirational.  Carlsen should lighten up a bit though; he seems pretty nervous all the time when interviewed but perhaps a lot of it is to do with the language barrier, I still think he is great!  I totally agree with Kasparov with regard to politics in Russia and love how he openly speaks out against the Kremlin.

And: When Carlsen and Skavlan stare at an empty chessboard, they see the same.

I did follow this link before and did not find the interview.

I did again and for the benefit of those that want to listen to the interview go to 43 minutes into the video, all of the other parts are in Scandivinian language and if you are familiar fine.

Otherwise the interview is from footage 43 to 52 minutes in English language with Scandinavian subtitle.
