Hello, i'm looking for a checkmate my opponent a few years back did to me. it's ( i think ) a knight opening and a checkmate with a knight after a few moves, 8 or so. Does anybody know some sort of checkmate? i tried to find it, but i lost it...

i don't know: maybe this?

There is also a white version that involves sacrificing your queen for a mate in which bishop and knight have all avenues covered (Knight mates after black takes white's queen with his bishop (white's knight had moved into position "sacrificing" the queen.) I don't remember the exact move set. I hope I gave enough of a "visual" of it. :)

mrguy888, you're wrong.
I tried to put the ? on the move but it didn't appear. And I am right about the checkmate the guy wanted to know right?
Yeah, that's the one I was thinking of. "those" that is the move that someone that doesn't say (omg, that idiot just gave up his queen) makes. :) I'm sure we've all seen good players succomb to that one, but you'll never do it twice.
yes! the game from those was what i was looking for. the other game with the queen sacrifice is pretty nice too :D
No sir, you are not correct.
In your diagram, White traded a Knight for a pawn. Black has no reason to take the Queen with the Bishop; the Black Knight will defend it from e5 after taking the White Knight.
TAking the queen is a blunder in both cases.
