I recently played in the Kitchener Oktoberfest tournament. Those 500 correspondance games are starting to pay off as I blew away the field with 4.5/5 I took a quick draw in the fifth game with a better position. The game I'm showing is against the runner up in the U1700 section with 4/5. Mark Plotkin is a very talented chess player especially since he is only 10. Here is the game, I might also post my first round game because of the nice tactic to smash apart my opponents defenses. the 3rd game is a blunderfest and I outplay my 4th round opponent because of his subpar opening.

I expect that in a few years plotkin will be an expert and hopefully so will I, I will post a couple more games later.

4. b3 should be really considered, as you plan Ba3, trading the bishops.

8.e3 is unnecessary.

13. a3?!, you actually want him to play Nb4, then you can play a3 for free. After that, your opponent's play was sketchy, but you were doing fine.

In the ending, I'm not sure if you can even win it, but after e5, Qc4+ is pretty.

i need to learn how to play the white side of the dutch better I guess that is once I'll do after I read Silman's endgame course.

Here is my first round game against James WIlliamson his high is 1637 but age is getting to him and he is below 1400. I get an immediate advantage as black because of his extremely passive play the only reason I show this game is because of the tactic that ends his defense.

My crowing acheivement in this tournament was still beating Mark 'little Roman' Plotkin. Next time it will be the real Roman Sapozhnikov.
