He's not as good as the Klitschko brothers, though

Vladimir Klitschko challenged him to a game, but apparently he didn't accept.  I guess he thought since Vitaly pounded his face in, Vlad would do the same on the chess board.

Seem to recall it was Vitaly's face which was so badly mashed that they stopped the fight in favour of Lewis! Not to say Vitaly wasn't 'winning' at the time, but still..?

Anyway, from what I recall of Lewis' chess, he was rated about 1700 max?!

Lennox was the superior fighter. He was controlling the scene and after he left, the boxing scene looks like a school yard. There is right now, no real figure capable of inflicting fear or respect! Lennox is probably the last great fighter.

lol all you want, Lewis was losing on the cards.  That picture does not tell the story.  Vitaly was winning 58-56 on all 3 judges scorecards, then Lewis swiped Vitaly's face with his thumb and cut him open, then took a few punches at the cut and thats why it looks so devastating.  Go watch the fight and you will see Vitaly owned Lewis.  Lewis was slouched in his seat by the 5th round, huffing and puffing.  And to top it off, Lewis didn't give Vitaly a rematch.  He knew better.

I disagree, Vladimir is the top fighter in the world and he could take Lenox anyday if Lenox hadn't retired.   If he didn't retire, he knew he was going to have to face Vladimir.

Yeah I knew he liked Chess because on TV someone said Chess was for geeks ! And someone pointed out he was wrong because Lennox Lewis was a brilliant Chess player.

Lennox got lucky that he gave Vitali the cut, if the cut was not made Vitali would have won at least by points, because he was already winning by points. The chances of getting cuts twice are not big, if they fought again the cut probably would not happen and Vitali would win.
