ok im sure that either there is a major bug or people are using programs that make their time INCREASE when playing live chess, and the time is set to 0 secs increase per move... eg twice i was playing 1 min time limit games when all of a sudden my opponents time starts increasing by about 10 seconds every move and mine wasn't!

has this happened to anyone else?

yea and im getting major lag

I think it is a bug, because the amount of activity required to jump your time limit up 10 seconds every move would be noticed.  Are you sure that the settings of the game did not simply have 10 seconds bonus time?

Hmm... sounds like a bug then.  You should use the Report Bug function to report it, or talk to an admin.

I'll point out that when using IE, I found the game would end when I still had 4 seconds left. Or my opponent would claim to have say, 17 minutes and 58 seconds left and I would see 18 minutes and 1 second.

It could very well be lag inbetween your client's communication and the Live program. Basically, you're getting faulty information, and their time really isn't increasing by 10 seconds. Or it could be. Either way, there's a bug somewhere you need to report :P

It is hardly to say it is cheating! not that its Impossible. I am a Java Programmer and that will be a one taking code trick to add up your time. I will vote as a Bug! Hardly cheating Fetyerman!! Have great time in Chess.com

we're working on sorting out these issues. we have an anti-lag measure. it could be that your opponent is 10 seconds of network time away. i'm happy to test this with you if you like.
