I notice the display often shows that I'm in LIVE chess when in fact I logged out days ago, both from live and indeed from chess.com site. I also notice several friends are indicated as being LIVE when in fact that they are not. Is this a glitch, anyone else noticed it?
Yes, I have noticed abnormally high occurences of my opponents "flashing live", sometimes continuously for days. One opponent who was indicated as "live" for about 70 hours, ran the time control down to minutes before moving.... this seemed strange to me, especially as he is not a premium member and usually moves quickly when connected.

I have noticed that too. :) Sometimes it shows that you are on live but I go check and you are not there. Sometimes you flash live in red and sometimes in green. In both cases I realize that you are not there. :) Do you know if there are different meanings between the two colors? Also I had a friend of mine told me that he thought I was live at one time but he didn't see me there.
I think if it's one colour you are logged into LIVE chess and if it's another you are actually playing in LIVE chess; or should i say *supposed* to be? Either way mine is still flashing away merrily and i am not logged into LIVE chess. (it's not because I'm hiding from you over there lol)

1) You’re still Flashing, MM!

I reported that error on Sunday 13th July and was told it wasin the process of being fixed. I also mailed erik about it a few days ago.
thanks kohai, wasn't sure if it was a bug or just my imagination :-) Erook I've noticed that 24 hour thing too, it's all abit lost weekend isn't it...where did the last 24 hours go??? Used to happen a lot when i was younger
Ok, thanks MM78! :) Maybe red means you are logged in but not playing and green means that you are playing. :) You have been on red for a very long time. lol :)
it's broken. we'll fix it. but it's more important to fix other things first :)
