Any good guesses as to the person with the lowest IQ who has a title?

There really seems to be a bizarre obsession with IQ as it pertains to chess ability on this site.

    +10000!

And for the umpteenth time: dating back to the first examination of this question in 1927, there is no correllation between IQ and chess ability among active adult chess players.

I was surprised to learn that Kasparov's IQ is 135. I wonder if that's the lowest IQ with the title of World Champion.

    Yeah I know. Smile

I meant the requirements for that one are lower then that for just CM right? just like WIM vs IM and WGM vs GM.

It requires the same rating and everything just it`s when a woman gets it.

Incorrect. Why not research it before stating facts?

    Yes they are. Laughing

I was sure about the WIM and WGM, just not about WCM. So I 'googled' it myself.

The Candidate Master title, you can achieve by getting a rating of 2200.

To get the Women Candidate Master title a rating of 2000, is sufficient.

135 its a very high IQ, just not genius IQ... still 135 IQ its something to brag about... i think 90-100 is the average, 101-120 is "smart", 121-150 is "gifted", and above 150 is "genius"...
