    Huh ?

You mean, good Russian players hide from international well-funded tournaments because they spare their forces for the Russian championship ?

Otherwise, what makes you think that winning the RC four times is more valuable that scoring indecently in all the recent events ?

please tell me how many grandmasters russia has, then again tell me what score the non russian gms in the candidates now have.

Well, there are 2 non-Russian's leading the tournament.

His point was, how can a tournament limited to a single country be the strongest, no matter how strong that country is?

BTW, Svidler is 6 time Russian champion.

For your second question, a combined 10/20.

    Right away.

Aronian and Carlsen are not Russian, right ? They are at 3/4.

The Russian GMs in the Candidates are exactly in the average as far as score are concerned (Svidler 2.5/4, Kramnik 2/4, Grischuk 1.5/4 -> average 2/4).

    Let's be serious a second.

Svidler is playing well at least compared to what I expected from him, but to win that tournament, you need to play outstandingly.

Ummm... Svidler should do well, and I want him to win I think, but Magnus will win I'd bet. In the end, I just want anand to keep his title.

it's kinda like the number 0, makes no difference if it's positive or negative. same idea with a high-class and low-class yereplonker.

How long do you think Carlsen will hold the title (if he becomes WCC now)?

Btw, i think  if Ivanchuk became WCC that would be pretty cool, i just like that guy more Cool
