Would you be ok with making a compter chess account named "Rybka 3" and having it be able to play rated games aginst people?

Would that be ok? If they know you are using  an engine and the accouts purpose is for people on the other side of the world playing rybka 3 ?

Just wondering cuse My rybka 3 / Shredder / fritz / Hiarcs / junior  are just sitting around using up computer space or anylizing stuff?

At this time this is not possible. However, in the future we may decide to allow Computer (C) specific accounts which can play using a chess engine.

I suppose this is really up to the staff, but I'd vote against this notion.  Computer accounts add no benefit to a community; if I want to play a computer, I don't have to come here to do it.  I find that the large number of computer accounts is part of what makes FICS an unappealing server.
