Missing f/r...stop function in vedios

The problem I am having is that when I try to play a video I have no ability to reverse/forward the video or stop it. those options don't show up when the videos played
I am using the non app version as the I-pad app only has a limited number of videos and no way to search for videos...this happened after the latest update to my IPAD 2
