and, this was the game:
That's not a master game, that's from the girls U18 championship of Hessen, Germany. I would be very surprised if two IMs played in that :-)
These were friends making a joke.
In the recent Dutch U20 championship, one game started 1.Nf3 Nf6 2.Nc3 Nc6 3.Ng1 Ng8 4.Nb1 Nb8 to gain some extra time on the clock, then it started for real...
Why not two IMs? There have been plenty of pre-arranged draws between masters -- is this really so different than any pre-arranged draw? I don't recall the details, but some masters (recently?) got in trouble for fooling around with a pre-arranged draw, making it obvious.
White plays : e4xf5+ , you move...
Who here with any otb tourney experience has never had a pre-arranged draw? I have had quite a few in over 30 years of tournament play myself. Do the rules forbid such draws ?
I don't think there are any rules for this. I didn't made any pre-arranged draw, but I often took draws in early moves, even in 15th move (I've been playing chess in tournaments for 3 years).
Not bizzare enough anyway.
Shouldn't they get in trouble for obviously arranging a draw?
Never had a pre-arranged outcome of any type in 30+ years.
How many otb tournaments have you played in those 30+ years ?
thats a fabricated game, no way its real or not prearranged
Wow, what a nice game. There is an opening that reminds me of, the Hippo I believe, which rearranges the minor pieces into a nice symmetrical pattern. However, it actually follows opening theory with controlling the center and whatnot.
I'll never trust chess.com's opening explorer again!
