How do you analyze your games in progress? What is the process you go through to decide how to move next? How do you know when you've analyzed a position sufficiently? Do you have a specific list you go through or do you just kind of soak everything in and then move intuitively? I'm sort of a lazy thinker and very often I lose a game because my analysis is inadequate. I'm trying to develop a check list to go through that hopefully will eventually soak in to my very being and help me improve my quality of play. I'm not looking for general chess maxims here (develop your knights before bishops) but specific METHODS of analyzing your games as you play them.
