I saw where she had hurt her foot and surgery was scheduled for it, but I don't think that would be any reason to drop out.

Oh, that's probably why she seemed strange to me.

She just posted yesterday, the thing is very sudden, very strange. 

haha  me too.  plus she was generally creepy.  she messaged me some pretty intimate stuff.  i thought she was trying to get me to break my vows.  poison felt semi-violated by her as well, from what i hear.  checkmateibleatatyou is probably sad.

She became over-familiar very quickly with me, such that I became uneasy and blocked her.

I was wondering if it was just me.  She used to send me messages filled with "honey" and "dear."  I tended to reply "....ok."

To be fair, it might be that I'm just too crotchety to fully understand modern communication and her motives were completely honest and friendly.

However, I like to think that I'm no mug and that trumps most things.

I think she was okay, I was just a little surprised that she would choose to communicate in such a way on any website, let alone one devoted to chess.  I doubt she would have asked us to empty out our life savings or something.  She'd be hella disappointed with mine anyway.

She's the one who gifted me with my premium membership.

I'll admit she was pretty creepy.
