CoolStarting back in late 1992 every sunday i play a 21 game 5min blitz match with the same player. At that time my friend cecil who is from the phillipines had a us chess federation rating of 2100 while i was 1400.Now at blitz my friend i was told by several stong players plays around a 2250 level in the opinion of several stong experts an  by lee who was at the time a 2225 player who almost always came out on top in blitz. After cecil got hitched by his lady he slowly drifted down to  around 1950 before he quit tournament chess around 1999.I got up to 1689 before i quit about the same time. However we always play a set 21 game 5min blitz match every sunday. We both play on line these past 10 years.Cecil just  paid to join another chess online server which come with a us chess fed membership an is trying to talk me into it also. When we started back in 1992 he almost always ziped me out 21-0.Over the years i got to where it was more like 10-8 with 3 draws.About a year ago my friend had his nose bloodied by one of the new up coming players in the state he lost to him 12-6 -3draws.I think what upset him most that day was i played the same player 10-7-4draws.For the next several sundays cecil scored about 15-3-3 draws against me he was fired up.This got me fired up as this past sunday he scored 11-8-3draws.Oh as for that young player we drove about 100 miles several fridays ago a cecil got his revenge by the same sore almost but reversedin his dirrection. However father time keeps going as i will be 50 in a few weeks an cecil will turn 52.I still love to play for fun but not sure if i feel like going to play slow tournament chess.I tol my old friend as our old fiend jules who lives in neworleans still plays in his early 60 s i wll think about it.However jules never quit playing tournament chess.I love speed chess but the slowest time i play on line is game in 15 min however most are 1min 2min 3min 4min  5 min slowest are 5 min plus 2 sec a move.By the way i hate feed back time speed chess its for chumps in my mind as whats speed without the tick tick of time going by.So for now i think at my age i only want to play whats fun an to me thats only speed chess.

A quick comment on the layout of your post- paragraphs! It's sometimes rather difficult to read a block of text like that. But this is by-the-by.

This is an interesting story! To think, you started playing these matches before I was even born... I think some day, you might even defeat your friend... just keep at it! Smile

Back in the mid 1990 s we had 20 to30 chess player turn out every friday night at Mac Donalds  now its just a slab as a 25 foot wall of water pushe by a very bad lady named Katrina took it ou along with almost half my town.Strange how you can drive by an miss a slab which used to be a Mac Donalds. Now myself an cecil play at the mac donalds by the interstate.A lot of sundays its just me a him one time we had a former undertaker play a few weeks with us however i think we we play on to high a level for them an they fade away.I think the internet has hurt any out turn to play in person as its to easy to play online.Anyway my Saints just tore up the Giants 48 to 27 an are 5-0 now.Back in the 90 s we had a former Vegas casino dealer named Peter who was a very strong A level player who plyed the Dragon to perfection.Only with the dragon could Ludaka come out on top of Cecil as every other opening cecil was on top.Peter after he won a dragon against cecil would Quote Buggs Bunny Yosemete sam Crton classic an in his feud against buggs bunny would say ohs i hates that Dragon an cecil would tell Peter set up up you play black i open with kings pawn an you play the Dragon.By the way someone from the phillipines gets mad they turn purple in the face.
