After being crushed, and watching others be crushed, i have decided to make a solemn vow to NEVER finchetto again, not even as Black.
Who is with me?
Your post makes me want to cry. Fianchetto? Never? What is the world coming to!?
Not me :P What is so bad about fianchettoing? I mean, I don't like doing it either for the most part, but with good skill you can make it work and fend off kingside attacks. One interesting finachetto is the King's Indian Defence, my own opening. In the KID, black is the one doing all the kingside attacks!
I have more than a couple wins that I can attribute in part to a fianchettoed bishop pressuring/pinning pieces on the long diagonal.
lol
Fianchettoing can be very effective in the right position. Words like "never" hardly belong in chess.
Maybe you just aren't skilled enough to play out the position corrcetly, I bet you traded of bishops when given the chance. You probably just don't know enough about it to play it right.
Yea I just watched the games, you have no idea how to play it right, you either do it too late or when you are not supposed to. Perhaps a little studying might help you, why not try that before complaining again.

hi
Classic!

Never sac your king.
I always fianchetto (especially as Black).
Fianchettos can be very useful in certain types of positions if you know how to play them. Several very sound openings based on a fianchetto are used frequently by GMs. Perhaps you don't want to use fianchettos because of your playing style, but that certainly doesn't mean you should dismiss them entirely.
Are you saying as black, you fianchetto more than 100% of the time?
If you always fianchetto how do you especially fianchetto as black? Always would mean 100% and technically nothing can go over 100%
It means he sometimes fianchettos both Bishops when he's playing as Black.
Yes.
You little mathematician, you...I like omnipaul's explanation (even though I didn't think of it at the time).
technically you can't sac your king.
Ergo, you never do it.
Victory always belongs to Nytik.
