New chess book idea

I've had an idea for a way of writing a chess book. Rather than one person writing it, lots of people submit theory, novelties, analysis etc. which is then compiled into one book. The people who submitted stuff get a certain amount of the book's earnings. If you have any idea if this will work or not, or you're just interested in the ieda, say so below.

    A compilation of articles.

I believe there's a book titled "How to Open a Chess Game" that has multiple authors.

Books in the "Dangerous Weapons" series from Everyman Chess often have contributions from more than one author.

New In Chess Yearbooks follow this format. Individuals submit articles on a particular variation with their analysis and several illustrative games.  Often, other GMs or IMs will respond, and it becomes an ongoing conversation on a line.

I'm sure the GMs get a fee for submissions, but many of the follow-up letters are probably just discussion without pay.

Thanks for that, but this is a slightly different format again. There is no 'conversation' type discussions, just submitting of theory.

I take it no-one is very interested, so I may give up on the idea.
