my rating is on average   1500 to 1600 i want to get a book to improve but only got money for 1. should i get How to reassess your chess 4 by silman, or A guide to chess improvment novice nook by Heismen. please give advice thanks.

the art of planning in chess move by move by neil mcdonald (not mcdonald the humberger guy)

      this is even better than the one i told its same style but modern games, ull improve a lot.

It's hard to go wrong with silman's book.

I agree with Eniamar, Jeremy Silman's work is fantastic. Over the board I am 1800-1900 ELO and Reassess Your Chess helped me reach this level. My other reccomendation would be My System by Aaron Nimzowitsch. Get Reassess your chess first though!
