My interest in the game of chess has greatly increased over the last year leading me to the purchase of this chess set.

All of the pieces are triple weighted, and are made out of boxwood from India. The board is Black/Madrona Burl from Spain.

The original box/packaging that the set came with did not suit my taste, as it was rather poorly  constructed card board/plastic. So I decided to make a nice wooden box for it (with the little help of my father).

Wow, the wood color is very beautiful.^_^ So you and your Papi made that wooden box? Wow.

Realy nice chess set.  The wood is the best material for chess set.

and the boxes are very practical and elegent.

the only thing that bothers me in chess sets as a whole is that if you look to closely at the knight yo start to freak out! this is animal abuse!!!

yeah, that knight is quite scary when playing on that board.

the true presence of the pieces is felt when using an actual set such as this...(i feel)

Yuyuuchan -  my "papi" and i did make that wooden box. it took about 4 days to make start to finish.
