Contrary to what you might guess, this is not the chess group for members of the Church Of the SubGenius. I just used the name and image to make a pun. This group is actually for people who are fairly good chess players, but not quite at the master, or 'genius' level. I primarily encourage players with ratings in the 1500-1900 range to join, though anyone between 1400 and 2200 is welcome. Also I vow to do what I can to ensure that any group tournaments that are started or team matches we sign up for will actually start in a reasonable amount of time (like days instead of months...)
