Unfortunately, I have only attended one simultaneous exhibition in my life, but I really enjoyed it. I saw two-time U.S. Champion GM Patrick Wolff play ~25 players (I think). It was a long time ago, so it is hard to remember. It was @ the Gulf Coast Open in New Orleans, La. back in '92 if my memory serves me correctly. Patrick won the tournament, & in the simul he won every game except for one, & he drew that game. He was a pawn up in an opposite colored bishop endgame. It is well known that these tend to be drawish. Although, I plan to start watching more in the future because they fascinate me. I had the opportunity to talk to Patrick between rounds one day, & it was a memorable experience for me. He had a ? & answer session one day that I attended. He also played some three minute blitz chess against FM Miles Ardaman (for fun, it wasn't part of the tournament). Patrick won every game (& they played a bunch of them) except the last one. I would like you guys to post some memorable moments that you experienced @ simuls.

I've never been to a simul exhibit.

I would think that it's like playing 40 games of correspondence chess except live.

How do you know where to find simuls?

The most recent one: I played the Benko against Jaan Elvhest and equalized before losing to his positional skills. I had him autograph a copy of his biography that I had purchased from him before the tournament (The Story of a Chess Player) as well as a copy of his book on the Leningrad Dutch which belongs to the Nashville Chess Center.

Other titled simuls I've played: My Coach FM Todd Andrews (a zillion times), and my ex teacher GM Sam Palatnik. There might be one or two more, but my memory is going blank.

Note: Kasparov will be here in Nashville Friday along with most well-known GMS and Coaches for the supernationals. I'll report on that and any simuls I attend in the near future.

That's impressive Tim that you equalized against GM Jaan Ehlvest & put up a tough fight against him. Actually, I saw him @ a tournament in Denver in '03 that had several GMs & IMs there. I wish I could attend that tournament & meet Kasparov.
