Interested in hearing ideas for new Chess pieces. Just a silly topic.
Why? Whats wrong with the old pieces?
I always thought it would be fun to try a match where the knights could move two and then diagonal.
@2200ismygoal: I'm not saying the game should neccessarily have any pieces really added. Like I said, just a silly topic.
Back in high school, some us used to play Ultima. It uses chess pieces, with different moves (except the King) and very different capturing.
I always liked the idea of a knight that could move to any square two away from it. That is, any two kings moves that don't end up adjacent to the starting square. From the center of the board it could get to any square in two moves.
