So some days, I'm pretty good.  Others, I just suck - like today.

Does this ever happen to you, and is continuing playing even though you'll just get more frustrated the best solution?

How do you cope with bad days and losing streaks?

I'm a below average player on Chess.com, which is mostly because when I'm playing live chess, I'm also doing twenty other things..

With that being said, sometimes, I just plan old suck much more then usual, I can't buy a game, and then other times, I play pretty damn well. It's all about the moment.

    "(2.18) MISTAKE - That was a mistake. Much better was 22... Rab8"

It depends on what you mean by an "off day."  Just a few losses more than you expect doesn't mean anything if you are playing well and being outplayed.  To me, it's an "off day" when I am "not seeing anything" and overlooking stuff I normally don't.

Those are good days to take off, since they are already "off days."

It does seem that sometimes - chess is a great leveller though - when I am on a winning streak I am often brought right back to earth by losing having played an awful move and sometimes the reverse happens.

I think it is good to play with a clear head and not rush moves (online chess certainly allows you this luxury) and also to check out the computer analysis after each game to help iron out some of the flaws.
