Does anyone of know anyplace online where we can view those old PBS programs of Shelby Lyman covering the Fischer-Spassky match? Or even his later programs on the many Kasparov-Karpov matches?
Thanks.

I also would love to see those. I've read great things about the Shelby Lyman commentary on the Fischer-Spassky match. I've tried searches, looked at the PBS site, but I haven't found anything. If they are available somehow, please let me know as well.

I had to settle for Koltanowski. For some reason Lyman never showed up on the public station here during the F-S match.
I don't see any youtube vids of Lyman's old broadcasts though.
Likewise, I've never found Lyman on YouTube.
jpk, if you find a specific video, can you post the URL? Thanks.
An article about the production:

Wish I could find recordings of the old Shelby Lyman shows. Fischer -Spassky, Karpov - Korchnoi 1978 and 1981. What great entertainment, real time commentary as the games were played. Why aren't the recordings available. I'd pay big for them. Would be a great 40 aniversary issue! Wish real time recordings of GM commntaries on the the current World Championship matches were available. It's the analysis and commentary as the games are being played that is so great. Not analysis aftr the fact.
This is just a bump, in case anyone's run across any video lately.

This is worth another bump.
Ironically I was searching online for any footage of these broadcasts and came across this thread...
