I'm gonna need a bib and some tissues on this one folks. These things make me drool and cry at the same time. I'll be saving up for these so I can buy them as a reward for myself when I make Master.

Yeah, those are beautiful. They really make me want to replace my old dusty wooden chess set from circa 305 BCE.

Very nice indeed. Not as expensive as i imagined given the quality look of the products...

I have a board and pieces that I bought whilst on holiday in Greece, made out of green and white Thassian marble (some of the finest marble in the world) but the pieces are not very well designed (and one is missing in fact).

The board weighs about 3Kg... which is a massive downside of having a marble chess set..!

If I save only $20 a month for the five years I have allotted myself to attain the rank of Master, then I will be able to afford this nice set. I personally think it is a great motivator to put in that extra work needed to be a titled player. It would only be fitting to upgrade to a professional set if I'm able to get that professional rating.
