in online chess you will almost never make a mistake and if you do, your oppponent will probably see it/

Check my online games to see how wildly untrue that is.

I make a ton of mistakes, both spotted and capitalized on by opponents and not noticed. The same goes true of my opponent's mistakes.

Not true, while you have the time in CC, I know I don't use that full amount of time, I use 5 minutes at the most.

It's harder for me to pay attention online so I make blunders. My last games were my best in a while so hopefully I'm getting used to it.

I agree with Kupov. Many players must spend no more time looking at their moves for online games than they would spend in a quick, skittles type game.

How do you define a "mistake"?

Yes I do make blunders online as well especially when playing multiple games and forget what my ideas were etc.... whereas otb i am only playing one game so can concentrate fully on it

good suggestions .... i am planning on following no.2 more often as i'm too keen to make moves straight away and also if i'm tired i make silly mistakes

I do enjoy online chess though as i have played loads of games and have played lots of positions which means when playing OTB i have a good idea of the positions etc .....
