I am a serious OTB  player and wonder if there is a group here for serious OTB players ? What do I mean by " serious OTB player" ? Ok, a tournament player who plays at least 2 or 3 OTB classic events per year and one who has an established OTB rating, either USCF and/or FIDE. If no such group already exists here then I wonder if there are enough interested otb players for one to be formed ?

Search for OTB Group, maybe you'll find one.

if you didn't find it, you should create a new group, because there are many OTB players.

My patzer's OTB rating is 25 years old, but if I can knock the rust off I'd like to get back in the water before I'm too old and senile to try again.

I have no idea if he has the time or interest, but Ozzie says he's on this site primarily to get better OTB.  If you guys put a group together I'm sure a lot of us would sign up to sit at your figurative feet.  Cool

The study buddy group was formed to improve a player's otb rating.  We keep journals on how we are working to keep up our playing strength, and we also have tournaments to practice what we are learning.  Otherwise, I don't know of another otb group per se, but if you start one, I would join!

Not heard of any. I could form one ... Reluctant Otb Tacticians, for those who really like to play tournaments but couldnt get to more than one or two in the last 5 years. Too late for Tal and Bronstein :(  ... but maybe me and Velimirovic !?  }8-)

[I did manage one in London last year, my first "International". But played more than 200 USCF tournaments in the 90's ...and didn't even realize it until seeing my own USCF chart this year!]
