In some tournaments in Chessmaster in between the score and the bye sometimes the status bar OPS appears. After you play a match is displays a number which changes after each match. What does it stand for?

I assume it stands for your Overall Performance Strength/Status for the tournament up to that point, yet it could also mean your Opponent's Performance Strength/Status.The computer tends to adjust the performance level of individual opponent to constantly surpass the level of the player's performance between 200 to 500 points.

Example: I sealed a win with an OPS of 2639. My opponent for round 2 has one draw and an OPS of 3138. The tournament is the 12th pre-determined round robin tournament (The Valliant Chessmen) with rating levels between 1100 - 1500. If the OPS does stand for Overall Performance Strength isn't that a tad bit excessive?

I've checked the Chessmaster help function and googled Chess OPS, yet I couldn't find anything on the matter to confirm my thoughts. Anyone have any clues or ideas?
