i have seen a note by panmumu today in chessaholics forum saying the same thing...and here u kepler , so its a spreading phenomena

On live chess it can be due to disconnections.
no its in turn base not in live
strange thing is happening , lot of players r losing being out of time, either account closed or just not showing up....i won 7 consecutive games in about a week gaining like 200 points just bec the opponents r out of time...anybody knows where are ppl going?
