Paul Morphy (how does he see such things!?)

This game that Morphy played had a mate which I have wonder for awhile how he saw this over the board. He was even giving rook odds to his opponent. I hope you like this game as much as I did.

The thing that makes this game less impressive is the fact that he faced someone much worse than me, and I'm a lousy patzer.

Some of the games Morphy played like this one, the opponent does not delopped pieces in the opening phase and making the wrong move at the right time.

I think most of us could come up with such combinating mates like this within 15 moves or so against such a weak player, using all the knowledge and theory that is available to us now days.

What makes Morphy so great (correct me if I'm wrong), is HE figured out those theories on his own!

Its been awhile since I viewed a Morphy game, thanks for posting.
