hmmm, I don't play much live, but i think it is a good Idea if someone can find a way around the "getting everyone online at once problem"

One of the few things missing on Chess.com

They should make 8 man queues and do 5min blitz tournaments.  Winners continue, so a maximum of 3 rounds or 30 minutes.
