I just won 4 on the bounce playing the same sequence.

It seems the computer is a slow learner.

It wouldn't mean much though, because as we all know, playing a CPU is different than a person, so once they played a person and lost, bye bye rating

The computer seems to make unsound sacrifices at certain intervals in order to artificially lower its strength to match the desired difficulty; and it always seems to play the same moves (barring a small number of variations in its opening book, which it plays at random) so once you've found one way to beat it you basically have a way to consistently do so, heh. (Well okay you have to find one way for each variation in its opening book, but there aren't a lot of variations.) E.g. I got a bit bored after finding that it would respond to 1.d4 followed by 2.c4 in one of two ways, after which it would eventually make an unsound sacrifice:

    or

after which it isn't too difficult to win.
