Several opponents have been told that Chess.com has picked up that they have not been playing fairly and that their account may be restricted. What does this mean and HOW has it been picked up by Chess.com that they have not been playing fairly. Fortunately, I was able to beat them all. Doug Ashcroft

CHESS.COM IS CONTINUALY MONITORING UNFAIR OR ILLEGAL PLAY==THE PLAYER WILL THEN BE SUSPENDED FROM FURTHER PLAY

It normally just means they have timed out in a game/number of games.

I think it's odd that my highest win is a over 2000 player who got banned in the middle of our game. It was a team match game in addition, so I helped my team by being in a losing position. :)

Yes, it's been an issue since beginning. We would really have like to see our highest rated real conquest in statistics. But I think chess.com has done the right thing by choosing lesser of the evil. Imagine how I would have felt if I was really on the verge of beating this 24xx player and he got banned or timed-out and was not listed as my greatest victory ever!

It would be nice if we could exclude a game and have that stat pick the next best.  That way, we could choose to show a more representative game if we felt we wanted to.

I'm not complaining, it's just that I would never beat a 2000 plus in a fair match. :)

Nice suggestion - but I guess developers have much more on their plate right now than they can handle. Even a pretty serious issue where many of us who are using IE8 can't insert a game in forums etc is waiting for 6 weeks to be resolved. So I don't think this suggestion will ever get into their list of "things to do".

Most people will obey the rules even if there are no consequences for cheating.
