    The Battle

I gazed across the plains to see

A mighty army, marching before me.

Their armor gleamed in the noonday sun,

As they each prepared, one by one.

For the enemy we would engage,

To unleash our power, fury and rage.

It would be a test of strength and skill

Enough to give the bards their fill.

We ventured forth all day and night,

And the dark warriors were finally in sight.

We halted and our excitement grew,

For the battle that would soon ensue.

    Our adversaries stood their ground;

The call to charge was mine to sound!

All of this in my mind’s eye I see,

    My opponent is waiting patiently.

I’m white, and it’s my move, you see!

    The Angel

I gazed upon the wilderness of sorrow

    Found no things to burrow

In my eyes i see no one

But the shadows made by my dying sun

    NOw cometh thee

    Whose eyes gleaming before me

    ANgel from above

Whose heart so free as a dove

Then i stood like remnants of a  lonely friend

But the angel held my hand to till it bend

FOr i have found the love of my angel

WHose completeness in heart icannot untangle

    I will hold her near

FOr like art  i loved her dearWink

    Nice!

And now, the high art of the limerick -

I once opened up with g4

because e4 had become a bore

    Black said, "that's the game

    because Grob's attack's lame"

And he had me in mate by move four!
