Over the next year I'll be hosting some simul's in our local malls. Normally I have a small assortment of sponsors who get advertisement at the event. Often companies like game shops will have some wares on display or a computer with chess on it running while the games are on so people can play with it. I often promote CFC and their book store and chess sets. But this year I'm going to add chess.com if Erik doesn't mind. I think the payback is worth the effort. I've been through too many crap chess sites over the last 10 years.

If you promote chess perhaps you should think about adding chess.com to your roster. Maybe Erik will upgrade your membership in return. Out here I know I won't get a big draw like in Edmonton or Calgary or the ones I did in Vancouver but these people will talk. And when they experience the site it will become self promoting. Spread the word to students if you can. I know they mostly like blitz but there are more and more serious student players appearing every year. Why not help the site...

That's one of my pastimes when I bump in to fellow chess players, I've must of got easily over 30 hooked to this site all over the world since being here nearly one year!

p.s, I'm waiting for my CC cyber birthday card, lol!

I hope to get as many people as possible to tell a friend about the site. I'd like to see a lot more chess teachers direct people to the site and use the training features. I too try to convert people to chess and now there's a good place to send them.

Hey everyone!

Tell a friend.
