Is it legal to promote a pawn into a second bishop of the same color..?? Can you promote two pawns and have 3 black bishops..., not that someone would do it, but is it legal.
Has this tactic ever been used in a important game..?

yes you can promote it to whatever you want i think.

Yeah, there's no limitations like that. I think the only practical use of it though would be in some really weird, crazy endgame study or to taunt your opponent.

the only thing a pawn cannot promote to is a second king. :)
