Public Apology to Blunders

Apparently, Blunders is really a girl looking for a husband from here at Chess.com. She was none too happy about the picture that I jokingly put on her thread that is now locked. I thought it was a kid playing a joke, so I posted the picture of a very unattractive lady under the guise that I was doing it for Blunders. My poor attempt at humor offended and disgusted Blunders. I apologized privately to her, and now, since I posted in a public forum, I feel that I should apologize publicly. I'm very sorry for any offense.

No comments please. Moderators feel free to lock this. It was not meant to generate discussion.

    Thank you.

If it wasn't meant to generate discussion, you shouldn't have posted it in a FORUM.

    Forum:

an assembly, meeting place, television program, etc., for the discussion of questions of public interest.

Please re-read the first post to see why I posted in a public forum. Thank you.

Staff: Is there any way for the one who started a topic to lock that topic.

    Thank you.

This apology accepted by me.  It hurt my feeling but most it hurt my eyes and my heart.

    Thank you Nytik also.

Why else would you specifically label countries, and ask for a groom on a chess forum?

i think Blunders should marry the scottish bloke who accused me of not getting the joke.

    that's the joke i guess

I wonder what Blunders did to convince ThreeNailz of the authenticity of her/his claims?

    3Nailz is joking isn't he?

it seems like he's not joking.

i think the biggest joke of all is that chess.com allowed that thread to blow up like it did.  there is a minor consistency problem around here.

The mods can't be expected to check every forum. The biggest joke of all are the people that start them.

it's pretty stupid the 5hit they're willing to call people out for while that thread grew to 4 pages.

but you're right, it probably is asking too much for them to keep tabs on everything

Or those of us that read them?  I don't think 3Nails is joking, I think his religious buddies got on him for not acting like a "good christian."

When the mods do ban a threat, how is that thread brought to their attention?
