I need help sizing photos to post in chess.com.  Each time I attempt to do so they are too large.   I have a Snow Lepard MAC.

If you join a site like Photobucket which is free, you can change the size and edit photo's fairly easily.

You may also like the freeapp Gimp:

    It's similar to photoshop.

Hey, you two are fast!  Thanks.  I will look at both of these. Ha, I may have to have my grandson help me.

This site actually has a simple feature for re-sizing photos. After inserting the photo, CLICK on it once, then re-size the photo by dragging from one of the corners with your mouse.

This will reduce the size of the photo like so:

    Very easy to do!

That sounds so easy a grandfather could do it.

And if they did, I was too busy doing what I thought was important at that time and missed what they thought was important.

That doesn't seem to work for me. I must be doing something wrong.

It's likely the browser. What browser do you use? It works for me in Firefox and IE. It's clearly meant to work like that but this issue of uniform browser behaviour is a pain.

When I click on the inserted photo, tiny squares show up along the border, which I can then drag with my mouse to re-size the photo.

I am happy you sent this, because I cannot get it to work for me either.  I will have to have my grandson or son-in-law help me.

It annoys me that I can send photos on e-mail by just 'cut and paste' but cannot do that while in chess.com.

Thanks for the advice. I have google chrome, and I was quite happy with it, but maybe I should try something else. When I click on the box, it just goes all blue, no little boxes appear.

I have problems too with Chrome. I can't even seem to post a text message. I can't get my cursor to show in the comment box at all Frown If you're trying a new browser, Firefox is a good choice.

Cross, open up "Paint."  It should be on your computer now.  (It comes bundled with Windows, assuming you are using the Windows operating system.)  (Do a Search for it, via your START button.)

Load your graphic/photo, either with the FILE - LOAD command or simply by dragging your graphic/photo to it, using Windows Explorer.

Click RESIZE, and change the percentage.  Click SAVE, or SAVE AS if you wish to keep the original photo.

    Done.

I often use PaintShop Pro myself, instead of Paint, to resize photos and graphics, but you probably don't have PSP on your computer.
