Over the past few days, I have been competing in many tournaments, and have won many of them. My rating has been rising and rising and rising. It rose 324. Now my rating is 1179. I hope to bring it even higher by the state tournament. I love the chess game, it's filled will thinking and strategy.

Mine fluctuates often. I don't take ratings too seriously, but they are very useful when setting personal goals. Good luck, and I hope you continue to improve.

Have some questions regarding FIDE ratings:

Zack who is unrated competes in a FIDE rated event, plays 6 games (4 against rated opponents & 2 against unrated) and manages just a single draw against an unrated player.

Will he still earn FIDE rating points on those 6 games played?
